Initial Thoughts
I have to say, that I really thought the offense didn’t get into any real rhythm until the second half. But we were still winning 21-3 at the half. It must mean that we have one stinking good team, when I am watching them thinking, “they sure don’t look like they are really clicking too well” and then have them win 34-3.
Yeah, we are good. I don’t know how this team would match up against the great teams in Cowboys’ history (like the 77, 92 teams and such), but I do know that not one of those teams was ever 10-1. Never. Record-wise, this is the best Cowboy’s team in history.
I thought the Packers looked pretty good, too. Early in the season they seemed to be getting some lucky breaks and everything just seemed to be falling their way. Now they are looking like a really good team. Next week should be a really tough game. But we are better than Green Bay and should win.
Now, about today’s game: Surely Newman will get some probowl hype now. He scored a TD on an interception. Canty was a beast, as was Ellis and Ware on defense. I thought both Barber and J. Jones ran the ball very well today. It took Romo a little while to get things going in the passing game, but he ended up with a really nice day. How could it not be nice when he tied the Cowboys record for TD passes in a season?
A decisive win.
